The 2021 Angel Youth Kayak is a small scale version of the adult Soul Waterman Slalom kayak.
You wouldn't make your kid learn how to play soccer in adult size 13 cleats, so why make them learn how to kayak in a boat designed for adults? Most kids slalom boats are basically just low volume adult boats that conform to the ICF regulations for length and width. This means that kids have had to learn how to paddle oversized boats and have to re-learn a lot of skills as they get bigger and fit better into the adult kayaks. Weighing in at only 23.6 lbs these boats are designed for children 6-12 years old and has a volume of 115 liters. Soul Waterman named this boat the "Angel", after the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, with the idea that this boat is the first step to getting kids there.
